Fiddlers’ Sons go on stage in Rustico
Eddy Quinn, John B. Webster and Keelin Wedge of the award-winning Island band Fiddlers’ Sons will play at The Cymbria Lions Club on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Lions weekly summer ceilidh series. They will be featuring music from the band’s most recent release called “Fiddlers’ Sons: The Best Of Twenty Years”, as well as selections from Wedge’s new instrumental album, “The Traditional Files”. “Of all the places we play, I would have to say that Cymbria has the most beautiful view.” says Quinn. The Cymbria Lions Club Community Centre is located in Rustico on six acres overlooking Rustico Bay and is situated next to the historic St. Augustine’s Church, Farmer’s Bank of Rustico, Doucette House and the Barachois Inn. There will be a 50/50 draw, canteen service and CDs and books available for sale. Admission is at the door and all ages are welcome.
