Country recording artist Drake Jensen is coming to Charlottetown on Tuesday.

A native of Cape Breton, Jensen now calls Ottawa home.

Jensen, whose first album “On My Way To Finding You’’ charted No. 16 on the European Country Music Association’s top 100 in 2012, will perform at The Pourhouse.

Jensen’s tour takes him to P.E.I., Nova Scotia and Ontario.

The title track, released in February 2012 along with a video featuring his husband, earned him a Coup de Chapeau (Hats Off) award from Montreal’s Fondation Emergence, whose previous recipients include Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.

Using his music and growing fame as a launching pad, he released the anti-bullying single “Scars That You Can’t See’’ in June 2013, which logged more than 250,000 hits on YouTube. That brought Jensen an invitation to preview the video in Nashville to be shown at the Hard Rock Café during that city’s Pride celebrations.

In December 2016, Jensen achieved his first top 40 hit on Australia’s leading country music chart.

Recently, he released his latest single to radio, “Go Your Own Way’’, sending a message of inclusivity and equality to country music fans.
