Tig­nish man jailed for im­paired driv­ing

SUMMERSIDE - Ed­ward Joseph Perry, 40, of Tig­nish, pleaded guilty to driv­ing with a blood al­co­hol level above the le­gal limit. The charge against Perry is from May 1 in St. Louis. Perry was sen­tenced to serve 60 days in jail, which he re­ceived per­mis­sion to do in­ter­mit­tently. He must re­main on pro­ba­tion un­til his time is served. He is also pro­hib­ited from driv­ing for 24 months and must pay a fine of $1,500 and $450 in vic­tim sur­charges.
