Woman pleads guilty to im­paired driv­ing

SUMMERSIDE - Nancy Lee Hef­fell, 51, of Rich­mond pleaded guilty to driv­ing while her blood al­co­hol was above the le­gal limit. The charge is from May 28 in Trav­ellers Rest. Hef­fell was sen­tenced to 14 days in jail, which she re­ceived per­mis­sion to do in­ter­mit­tently. She must also re­main on pro­ba­tion un­til her sen­tence is served and is pro­hib­ited from driv­ing for 18 months.

She was also fined $1,300 and must pay a $395 vic­tim sur­charge.
