Dead fish count reaches 67
Provincial personnel and local watershed workers collected 67 dead trout from a small brook in Campbellton Sunday and Monday.
An investigation was launched after a report of dead fish being found near a bridge along the Coughlin Road in the West Prince community on Sunday morning.
All of the dead fish were small, under 23 centimeters, a spokesman with the Department of Environment confirmed Tuesday. Investigators did find live fish further downstream where the small brook enters a slightly larger brook.
