Tyler Wal­lace Mac­Don­ald, 33, dies in a con­struc­tion ac­ci­dent Mon­day in Cal­gary

A P.E.I. con­struc­tion worker who died as the re­sult of a work­place ac­ci­dent this week is be­ing re­mem­bered by fam­ily and friends as a “com­pas­sion­ate” and “kind­hearted” man who was al­ways in good spir­its.

Tyler Wal­lace Mac­Don­ald, 33, who was orig­i­nally of Ge­orge­town P.E.I., has been con­firmed as the con­struc­tion worker who died af­ter falling from a con­do­minium on Mon­day.

A fam­ily mem­ber shared some of the mes­sages re­ceived from those who knew Mac­Don­ald.

They de­scribed a young man who was a hard worker with an op­ti­mistic spirit and a love of hockey.

“You are the guy that never wanted to shine over oth­ers, but you brought com­fort, and hap­pi­ness to ev­ery­one,” read one of the mes­sages.

Mac­Don­ald fell from a four­storey condo build­ing that was un­der con­struc­tion in a south­east Cal­gary neigh­bour­hood.

The in­ci­dent is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated by Oc­cu­pa­tional Health and Safety.

Mac­Don­ald’s fu­neral ar­range­ments are be­ing han­dled by Fer­gu­son-Lo­gan Mon­tague Fu­neral Home.

“Tyler will be greatly missed by his fam­ily, friends, co work­ers and all who came to know and love him,” stated Mac­Don­ald’s obit­u­ary.
