A royal win

The Winsloe/Char­lot­te­town Roy­als shut out the Dart­mouth United F.C. 2-0 to win the Un­der-15 Divi­sion of the re­cent Gunn Bal­durs­son Memo­rial soc­cer tour­na­ment in Wolfville, N.S. Emma MacIn­tyre scored two goals in the last five min­utes to break a 0-0 tie. Paige Doncaster recorded the shutout. MacIn­tyre led the team with five goals over­all, while Miara Weeks added three mark­ers in the round robin and Ria John­ston notched a key goal in the fi­nal round robin game. Mid-field­ers Ju­lia Doucette, Anamika Subba and Reese Kelly were strong through­out the tourney and Doncaster kept op­po­nents to just one goal per game in the round robin.
