Aca­dian days fea­ture Robert Pen­der­gast and Meghan Blan­chard

The Aca­dian Days Fes­ti­val in Rustico will fea­ture an evening of food with Robert Pen­der­gast and mu­sic with Meghan Blan­chard.

The event takes place at the Farm­ers’ bank of Rustico and tonight from 5:30-9 p.m.

From 5:30-7:15 p.m., chef Pen­der­gast will pre­pare a tra­di­tional Aca­dian meal at the Doucet House’s out­door clay bake oven. He’ll also have sto­ries and mu­sic while he bakes. Pre-reg­is­tra­tion is re­quested. This event will be hap­pen­ing rain or shine.

The soirée will be­gin at 7:30 p.m. with Blan­chard’s per­for­mance.

Blan­chard re­ceived her sec­ond East Coast Mu­sic Award for her third al­bum “She’s Go­ing to Fly’’. She has toured ten­sively across Canada, the U.S. and the United King­dom.

In 2015, she be­gan the Meghan Blan­chard Song­writ­ing Camp for Girls in Char­lot­te­town, a two-day camp with a fo­cus on co-writ­ing and pro­vid­ing sup­port for young women from P.E.I. who are in­ter­ested in song­writ­ing and ca­reers in the mu­sic in­dus­try.
