Here are some num­bers on con­struc­tion of the ex­ten­sion of the smaller of the two Char­lot­te­town Air­port run­ways: – Equiv­a­lent to more than 60,000 dump truck loads of ma­te­rial moved on­site.

– 50,000 tonnes of gravel used. – Paved with 8,000 tonnes of as­phalt, enough to pave a sixk­ilo­me­tre stretch of road.
