Rustico-Emerald MLA Brad Trivers brought forward a motion during a committee meeting Thursday to request a copy of the final version of the act. Trivers’ motion sought to send a letter to Communities, Land and Environment Minister Robert Mitchell to make the request. All of the MLAs on the committee agreed.

Members of the Coalition for the Protection of P.E.I. Water also recently said they asked Mitchell for an update on the Water Act. The coalition said Mitchell didn’t offer any details about what changes were made to the first draft of the act after the last round of consultations.
