Bombers crush Clip­pers, A’s dump Brew­ers

Josh Cof­fin scat­tered three hits over five in­nings and Dil­lon Doucette hit a mam­moth home run to salt the game away as the Peakes Tee Bombers crushed the Cardi­gan Clip­pers 11-0 in Kings County Base­ball League ac­tion Sun­day.

The Bombers broke open a score­less game in the third in­ning with nine runs, four of them off Clip­pers starter Quinn Hughes.

Top bat­ters for the Bombers were Doucette, 2-for-3 with a home run and a pair of RBI, Rob Phe­lan 2-for-3 with three RBI, and Tyson McIn­nis 2-for-3 with a dou­ble.

Cardi­gan was led at the plate by Dean Car­roll 1-for-1, Charles Ma­cLel­lan 1-for-2, and Kevin MacLeod 1-for-2.

Strat­ford 9, Northside 5

Ryne MacIsaac had three hits to lead the Al­ley Strat­ford Ath­let­ics past the Northside Brew­ers 9-5 Sun­day.

Win­ning pitcher was Corey Dougay while Adam Smith picked up the save in re­lief.

Tyson Blue suf­fered the loss with re­lief from Brian Lin­ton.

Also aid­ing the Ath­let­ics at the plate were Randy Tay­lor, Dougay and Ja­cob Smith, chip­ping in two hits each.

Jay­den Maclean and Mitch Ryan had two hits each to pace the Brew­ers.
