Some $2,000 worth of tools taken from North Freetown Road

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - THE ISLAND -

About $2,000 worth of tools and equipment has been reported stolen from a logging site on the Island.

The call came in July 24 to East Prince RCMP about the theft of tools and fuel from a location along the North Freetown Road. Various tools, such as large wrenches, ratchets, an electric grease gun with grease, hydraulic valves and O-rings, were stolen from two large parked logging machines.

Additionally, approximately 200L of diesel fuel was stolen. The value of the items was approximately

$2,000.

It appears that the theft happened sometime between July 21 and July 24. The RCMP is inviting anyone with information about this theft to give that tip directly to a police officer by calling East Prince RCMP at 902-436-9300.
