Al­legedly drunk man runs stop sign in front of po­lice

Po­lice on pa­trol saw a ve­hi­cle al­legedly fail to stop at a stop sign on the week­end, and now the driver is fac­ing drunk driv­ing charges. Charlottetown Po­lice Ser­vices said it was con­duct­ing rou­tine pa­trols Satur­day at 1:35 a.m. on Queen Street and saw a ve­hi­cle seem to fail to stop at a stop sign.

Po­lice caught the ve­hi­cle and said the driver seemed to be drunk.

The ac­cused male, a 30-year-old res­i­dent of Charlottetown, was ar­rested for im­paired driv­ing. The man will be ap­pear­ing in pro­vin­cial court at a later date.
