Allegedly drunk man runs stop sign in front of police
Police on patrol saw a vehicle allegedly fail to stop at a stop sign on the weekend, and now the driver is facing drunk driving charges. Charlottetown Police Services said it was conducting routine patrols Saturday at 1:35 a.m. on Queen Street and saw a vehicle seem to fail to stop at a stop sign.
Police caught the vehicle and said the driver seemed to be drunk.
The accused male, a 30-year-old resident of Charlottetown, was arrested for impaired driving. The man will be appearing in provincial court at a later date.
