Mud­men go 2-0 in Nova Sco­tia rugby play over the week­end

The Hunter’s Ale House Mud­men over­ran its Nova Sco­tia Se­nior Rugby League com­pe­ti­tion on two fronts Satur­day, record­ing a 112-12 points-for points-against ad­van­tage in the pair of games.

In Charlottetown, the B Di­vi­sion team used speed and youth to thump Eastern Shore 52-12. The man of the match was cen­tre and rookie Alex Hall.

Flankers Brodie Noo­nan and Syl­vain Duguay had big games also for the Mud­men.

Mean­while, the A Di­vi­sion team shut out Wind­sor 63-0 in Wind­sor, N.S., on four trys each from Si­mon Hood and Char­lie Wad­dell.

Man of the match was Adam Fitz­patrick, who pro­vided mul­ti­ple big plays and sti­fling de­fence.

The next ac­tion for both Mud­men teams is Satur­day, Aug. 12, when the A Di­vi­sion squad (2-0) faces the Truro Saints in Truro, N.S., and the B Di­vi­sion crew (2-0) tan­gles with the River­lake Ram­blers in Bed­ford, N.S.
