MacLean, James Rus­sell, age 70 of Dart­mouth, for­merly of Charlottetown, P.E.I., passed away peace­fully at home on July 27, 2017. Born in Desable, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Eileen (Art) MacDonald and Rus­sell MacLean. Jim worked as a long haul trucker and had an in­te­rior de­sign busi- ness. He loved work­ing with horses, dogs, an­tique cars and mu­sic. He will be re­mem­bered fondly for the as­sis­tance and coun­selling ser­vices he pro­vided to the com­mu­nity. Jim is sur­vived by his wife, Karen (Barnes); chil­dren, Earl (Jessie), Rus­sell (He­len), Stan­ley, Stacey (An­drew), Jane Ann, Melissa; grand­chil­dren; and great-grand­chil­dren. He is also sur­vived by his sib­lings, Laura (Lawrence), Garfield (Lori), Carl “Duckie” (Heather), Joan; and many nieces and neph­ews. He was pre­de­ceased by his son Mitchell; daugh­ter Melissa; sib­lings Wanda, Char­lie, and Sonny. Cre­ma­tion has taken place. The Cel­e­bra­tion of Life ser­vice will be held at 11am on Wed­nes­day Au­gust 2nd, in St. Paul’s Angli­can Church, 101 Prince St., Charlottetown, P.E.I., Rev. Madonna Frad­sham and Rev. Jay MacDonald of­fi­ci­at­ing. Re­cep­tion to follow in the church hall. Fam­ily flow­ers only.
