The funeral for Shane Pa­trick Cormier of Kens­ing­ton was held Sun­day, July 30, 2017 from Dav­i­son Funeral Home Kens­ing­ton to Prince­town United Church, Malpeque, where the ser­vice was con­ducted at 4 p.m. by the Rev Ch­es­ley Boutilier. Re­mem­brances were shared by his brother Joe Cormier. Scrip­ture read­ings were given by Norma Pasatieri and Sheila Shea. The Gospel was pro­claimed by Father Al­ban Arse­nault. Ja­son Arse­nault and Jonathan Daily ren­dered the se­lec­tion Wish You Were Here. Ger­ard Gaudet and Tina Gaudet-Blan­chard ren­dered the se­lec­tion God of the Moun­tain. Con­gre­ga­tional hymns were In the Bulb There is a Flower and Count Your Bless­ings. The or­gan­ist was J. Kirk Neville. At­tend­ing the ser­vice were rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Kens­ing­ton Area Mi­nor Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion and staff of BioVec­tra. Pall­bear­ers were Tony Os­borne, Ja­son Arse­nault, Dustin Wolfe, Si­mon Mills, Shane Ma­cLen­nan, Ja­son Read and Dar­ren MacKay. Flower­bear­ers were Jo Prevost, Kather­ine Ma­cLen­nan, Trudy Read, Tracy Arse­nault, Me­lanie Buote, Tara LeBlanc and Tammy Palmer. In­ter­ment was in Peo­ple’s Ceme­tery, Malpeque with Rev. Boutilier and Father Arse­nault of­fi­ci­at­ing.
