Two structures destroyed by arson in West Prince

The Guardian (Charlottetown) - - THE ISLAND -

SUMMERSIDE - Two incidents of arson were reported to the RCMP on Sunday around 2 a.m. The fires started in two separate structures in the communities of Derby and Mount Royal, RCMP said in a press release.

Both structures were unoccupied and were destroyed.

This type of vandalism is extremely dangerous and, with the fire index as high as it has been in recent weeks, could result in the fire spreading quickly and endangering surrounding structures and people.

The events are still under investigation, and any information surrounding the arsons can be reported to West Prince RCMP.
