Man who stole wallet sent to jail
A 38-year-old man who stole a wallet from someone who gave him a drive was sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail. Charles David MacAulay appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown for sentencing on the theft and breaching his probation.
MacAulay will serve the sentence on weekends so he can continue to work. He must write an apology letter to the victim and pay $100 in restitution along with $200 in victim surcharges.
