Three men wait in jail, charged in relation to home invasion using bat
Three men and a woman were in court Wednesday as suspects in a home invasion alleged to have happened in Borden-Carleton on the weekend.
Tyler Jay, Harrison Snow, Josh Jenkins and Jacqulyn Richard all made their first court appearance in Summerside.
The three men were ordered to stay in jail until their next court appearance for a plea, scheduled for Aug. 16.
Richard was released on condition of no contact with her coaccused, plus an order to have no contact with witnesses. She is scheduled to make a court appearance on Aug. 17, also to enter her plea.
The alleged crimes in question began Saturday at 1:30 p.m., when a man and woman were reported to have entered a residence in Stratford and robbed a man of cash.
Later the same day, at around 11 p.m., two men and a woman are alleged to have entered a residence in Borden-Carleton and assaulted several people. At least two of the victims say they were struck with a baseball bat.
The investigation team is asking for tips from anyone that knows about these instances.
