GIL­LIS Lor­raine (nee Keays)

Lor­raine Gil­lis (nee Keays), of Char­lot­te­town, passed away sud­denly at the Queen El­iz­a­beth Hos­pi­tal on Tues­day, Au­gust 1, 2017, age 69 years. Born in Souris, P.E., she was a daugh­ter of the late Lorne and Min­nie (nee McAdam) Keays. Lor­raine is sur­vived by her beloved chil­dren Ron­nie, Christopher (Craig Dauphi­nee) and Chantell (Frank Arse­nault) Gil­lis; her sis­ters Anne (Jiggs) Poole and Rosina (Paul) Richard; and many spe­cial nieces and neph­ews, in par­tic­u­lar, Theresa Mal­lard, Donna Poole and Dar­lene Gal­lant. Be­sides her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Rus­sell and 11 brothers and sis­ters. Rest­ing at the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home un­til Saturday morn­ing, then trans­ferred to St. Pius X Church for fu­neral mass at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment will take place in the Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery, Char­lot­te­town. Vis­it­ing hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Do­na­tions in mem­ory of Lor­raine may be made to the PEI Hu­mane So­ci­ety or Cana­dian Blood Ser­vices.
