The hall will be jumpin’

Eddy Quinn, John B. Web­ster and Keelin Wedge of the award­win­ning Is­land folk mu­sic group Fid­dlers’ Sons will play the Benev­o­lent Ir­ish So­ci­ety Hall in Char­lot­te­town tonight at 8 p.m.

The band is cel­e­brat­ing 20 years in the mu­sic busi­ness and has marked the an­niver­sary with the re­lease of a com­pi­la­tion al­bum of its most re­quested songs per­formed by the band mem­bers and ex­plor­ing Is­land life and Is­land peo­ple.

For 19 of their 20 years to­gether, Fid­dlers’ Sons has been play­ing its brand of grass­roots mu­sic to packed houses at the Ir­ish Hall.

And Friday should be no ex­cep­tion as the au­di­ence can ex­pect to hear a mix of Ir­ish, Scot­tish, Mar­itime and orig­i­nal tra­di­tional mu­sic.

There will be a 50/50 draw dur­ing the evening, and a light lunch is served dur­ing the in­ter­mis­sion.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Ad­mis­sion is at the door.
