Case ad­journed for fi­nan­cial plan­ner fac­ing charges

A fi­nan­cial plan­ner who was charged with 26 counts of theft over $5,000 and 26 counts of fraud has had his case ad­journed un­til Aug. 31. De­fence lawyer Bren­dan Hub­ley ap­peared for David H. Cud­more in pro­vin­cial court in Char­lot­te­town on Thurs­day.

Cud­more was a fi­nan­cial plan­ner with Mor­ton Dew in Char­lot­te­town along with Frank Har­ri­son Dew. Dew was sen­tenced in June to 54 months in prison af­ter plead­ing guilty to 26 counts of fraud over $5,000.
