The fid­dlers cometh

Fid­dlers’ Sons and Keelin Wedge on stage Sun­day

Award-win­ning Is­land group Fid­dlers’ Sons and Keelin Wedge are set to play at the Cym­bria Li­ons Club in Rus­tico Sun­day, Aug. 6, 7:30 p.m.

The band will be per­form­ing mu­sic from its re­cently re­leased al­bum, “Fid­dlers’ Sons The Best of Twenty Years”.

Fid­dlers’ Sons fea­tures singer/song­writer and lo­cal au­thor Eddy Quinn on vo­cals and gui­tar, multi-in­stru­men­tal­ist Keelin Wedge on fid­dle, man­dolin, gui­tar, bass and vo­cals, singer-song­writer John B. Web­ster on gui­tar and vo­cals and Court­ney Ho­gan-Chan­dler on fid­dle.

To­gether, they play a mix of orig­i­nal and tra­di­tional favourites that cel­e­brate Is­land life with a sig­na­ture Mar­itime sound.

The air-con­di­tioned and wheel­chair ac­ces­si­ble Cym­bria Li­ons Club is lo­cated at 2184 Church Rd., Rus­tico. There will be a 50/50 draw and ice cream sun­daes for sale. Copies of Fid­dlers’ Sons new CD and Quinn’s book of short sto­ries, “Is­land Char­ac­ters”, will also be avail­able.
