House band re­turns to Kelly’s Cross

A fundrais­ing ceilidh con­cert is set for Sun­day, Aug. 6, 7 p.m., at the Kelly Cross Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

The con­cert will fea­ture the re­turn of Gordie My­ers on steel gui­tar, Florence Larkin, key­board, Elmer Do­iron, lead gui­tar, Mil­dred Dover, vo­cals, and Ralph McQuaid, fid­dle. David Moore and Theo Wiegers will not be able to join the bnad for this event.

Guest per­form­ers in­clude Ron Ma­cLean, Mike John­son Theresa Hud­son, Trudy Cor­bet Hughes, Pat Molyneaux, Jim Gor­man, Garry My­ers, John Gal­lant and Don­nie MacKin­non Guest groups will be the Arse­nault fam­ily with Floyd McDon­ald and the Dunn fam­ily.

Ad­mis­sion is by do­na­tion at the door. There will be a light lunch, tea and cof­fee.

Pro­ceeds sup­port St. Joseph’s Par­ish. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The cen­tre is cli­mate-con­trolled and el­e­va­tor-ac­ces­si­ble. It is lo­cated at 1475 Route 13 in Kelly’s Cross.
