Truck and trac­tor pulls draw big­gest crowd

Lo­cal res­i­dent Alex Mac­Don­ald rides a 1967 Far­mall 706, owned by his fa­ther Frank Mac­Don­ald, in the 12,000-pound stock trac­tor class dur­ing the P.E.I. Truck and Trac­tor Pull Cham­pi­onships in Cra­paud over the week­end. The an­nual event, which be­gan in the early 1980s, saw what was es­ti­mated to be its largest crowd ever on the week­end. This year also saw plenty of pro stock and mod­i­fied classes, as well as a new 20,000-pound semi truck class.
