The death oc­curred peace­fully and sur­rounded by his fam­ily at home on Mon­day, Au­gust 7, 2017 of Ross N. Math­e­son, age 65, of Char­lot­te­town. Sur­vived by his lov­ing wife Jackie (nee Roach), his dearly loved four sons and their wives: Robbie (Kelli), Joey (Kari), Jeff (Les­ley), Tim (Karla). Won­der­ful, lov­ing Grampy to 10 sweet grand­chil­dren: Cameron, Gra­cie Joy, Colby Ross, Lau­ryn, Ella, Caleb, Ben, Jack, Beau and our new­est ar­rival “Ross James”. His lov­ing sis­ters Ruth (Ron Lewis), Gae­lyne Gid­dings (Win­ston Sen­cabaugh), Norma (David MacEach­ern). He was a lov­ing un­cle to many nieces and neph­ews. He is also sur­vived by his sis­ters-in-law San­dra Mac­Don­ald (Mur­ray - pre­de­ceased), Beth Ros­song (Tony), Mar­i­lyn Mil­bury (Ge­orge), and broth­erin-law “Unkie Bob”. He was pre­de­ceased by his par­ents Jean (nee MacWil­liams) and Benjamin Math­e­son, his spe­cial friend Joe Ma­cAulay, his “guardian an­gel” El­iz­a­beth Gid­dings, sis­ters-in-law Robyn Breau and Deb­bie Mac­Don­ald. Rest­ing at the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Fu­neral Home for vis­it­ing hours on Thurs­day from 4 to 7 p.m. The fu­neral will be held on Fri­day with fu­neral ser­vice from Trin­ity United Church at 11 a.m. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions would be gra­ciously ac­cepted to the Pro­vin­cial Pal­lia­tive Care Cen­tre or the Chil­dren’s Wish Foun­da­tion.
