P.E.I. athletes shine
At Nova Scotia Provincial Games in Antigonish
A total of nine athletes represented Special Olympics P.E.I. in Nova Scotia recently.
The Team P.E.I. members competed in two sports – golf and rhythmic gymnastics – at the Nova Scotia Provincial Special Olympics Games.
Golfers competed stroke play and skills.
The rhythmic gymnastics athletes competed in hoop, ribbon, ball and rope events.
P.E.I. Special Olympics also had a strong showing at the recent New Brunswick Provincial Special Olympics Games. A story on those athletes was published in Thursday’s Journal Pioneer.
