Rosie and the Rivet­ers will per­form at St. Mary’s Church in In­dian River on Aug. 13, 7:30 p.m.

The vin­tage folk trio has been com­pared to the “An­drews Sis­ters crossed with the Good Lovelies.” Tick­ets are avail­able from the fes­ti­val box of­fice.

The group is play­ing its first shows in the Mar­itimes this week. Its rein­ven­tion of vin­tage folk at­tracted na­tional ac­co­lades for its de­but al­bum, “Good Clean Fun” (in the CBC VML) which was re­leased in 2015.

The al­bum reached No. 9 on Earshot Mag­a­zine’s na­tional folk/roots chart, and the sin­gle, “Ain’t Gonna Bother”, reached the No. 5 spot on the CBC Ra­dio 2’s na­tional Top 20 count­down. In 2016, the band re­ceived the Saskatchewan arts award for emerg­ing artist. They also re­ceived nom­i­na­tions for Cana­dian Folk Mu­sic Award, vo­cal group of the year and a western Cana­dian mu­sic award, roots duo/group of the year.
