Murray River man jailed for damaging property

-

A Murray River man who threw a highway marker at a vehicle was sentenced Thursday to 14 days in jail.

Kyle Daniel Pollard appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Georgetown where he pleaded guilty to damaging property.

With the guilty plea, the Crown stayed three other charges.

The court heard Pollard was involved in a verbal altercation on April 23.

Pollard picked up a highway marker and threw it at a vehicle, damaging a door and window.

Along with the jail time, which was a joint recommendation, Pollard will be on probation for one year.

He must pay $1,752.80 in restitution and a $100 victim surcharge.
