Is­land clubs land on the main­land this week­end for games in three N.S. venues

The Is­land’s rugby clubs re­turn to the pitch this week­end, but not on P.E.I. as all have Nova Sco­tia Se­nior Rugby League road games on the main­land.

Satur­day, the Char­lot­te­town Rugby Foot­ball Club lands in Hal­i­fax to take on the Hal­i­fax RFC. Game time for the women’s Tier A-Tier B cross­over bat­tle is 1 p.m.

Then, the Hunter’s Ale House Mud­men saunter down the road to Truro for an A di­vi­sion tus­sle with the Saints. Start time there is 3 p.m.

Lastly, the Mud­men’s B di­vi­sion squad heads to Bed­ford for a men’s matchup against River­lake. That goes at 1 p.m.

CRFC leads the Tier A women’s stand­ings with a 4-0 record and has outscored op­po­nents 323-44. Hal­i­fax RFC is sec­ond at 3-1 and is outscor­ing foes at a 191-80 clip.

The Mud­men A di­vi­sion team is 2-0 (104-13), while Truro is 0-2 (35-96), and the B di­vi­sion squad is 2-0 (52-12). River­lake is 1-1 (46-32).
