Island clubs land on the mainland this weekend for games in three N.S. venues
The Island’s rugby clubs return to the pitch this weekend, but not on P.E.I. as all have Nova Scotia Senior Rugby League road games on the mainland.
Saturday, the Charlottetown Rugby Football Club lands in Halifax to take on the Halifax RFC. Game time for the women’s Tier A-Tier B crossover battle is 1 p.m.
Then, the Hunter’s Ale House Mudmen saunter down the road to Truro for an A division tussle with the Saints. Start time there is 3 p.m.
Lastly, the Mudmen’s B division squad heads to Bedford for a men’s matchup against Riverlake. That goes at 1 p.m.
CRFC leads the Tier A women’s standings with a 4-0 record and has outscored opponents 323-44. Halifax RFC is second at 3-1 and is outscoring foes at a 191-80 clip.
The Mudmen A division team is 2-0 (104-13), while Truro is 0-2 (35-96), and the B division squad is 2-0 (52-12). Riverlake is 1-1 (46-32).
