Man pleads guilty to drug, break and en­ter charges

A 36-year-old man pleaded guilty to mul­ti­ple charges in­clud­ing break and en­ter, pos­ses­sion of in­stru­ments suit­able for the pur­pose of break­ing and en­ter­ing and un­law­ful pos­ses­sion of metham­phetamine and oxy­codone.

Trevor Joseph Lavi­o­lette, a Sum­mer­side res­i­dent, was charged on Sun­day, Aug. 27.

He was sen­tenced to eight months im­pris­on­ment for a break and en­ter into Cana­dian Tire stor­age con­tain­ers.

He will also serve a four-month con­cur­rent sen­tence for pos­sess­ing in­stru­ments to break and en­ter.

He was fined a $400 vic­tim sur­charge and has two years to pay.

He was also fined $300 plus $90 on each count of drug pos­ses­sion.
