Nominations open for awards
Nominations are open until May 1 for the Prince Edward Island Environmental Awards that recognize Islanders who go above and beyond to protect or enhance the environment.
The three award categories are individual, organization and school.
To be eligible for an award, the individual, school or organization must be instrumental in identifying, reducing, solving or avoiding an environmental problem, must demonstrate consistent, responsible environmental management practices and/ or promote public awareness, understanding and active concern for the enhancement and protection of the environment.
In addition, the review committee will consider the nominees’ long-term service and commitment, voluntary contributions and innovative approach.
