Alice A. MacEachern, 91, of The Bri­ar­lea and for­merly of Win­ter Ave., Monc­ton, N.B., passed away peace­fully at her res­i­dence on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 13, 2018. Born in Green­vale, P.E.I., she was the daugh­ter of the late Bar­ney and Verna (Ling) Won­na­cott. Alice was an em­ployee of Woolco and at­tended the former Wes­ley Me­mo­rial United Church. She en­joyed knit­ting, go­ing on bus tours, at­tend­ing con­certs and play­ing a good game of cards. Alice will be sadly missed by her chil­dren, Al­lan MacEachern, Linda Smith (Chris), Ian MacEachern, Nancy MacEachern-Courteau (Pierre) and Carl MacEachern; seven grand­chil­dren, nine great grand­chil­dren and sis­ter, Lil­lias Sly of Cal­gary, AB. In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by her hus­band, John Al­fred MacEachern (1999); son, David and step­mother, Hazel (Boyle) Won­na­cott. Visi­ta­tion at Fer­gu­sons Funeral Home, 1657 Moun­tain Road, Monc­ton (506-858-1995) on Sun­day, Septem­ber 16, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m., fol­lowed im­me­di­ately by a Ser­vice to cel­e­brate and hon­our Alice’s life in Fer­gu­sons Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Re­cep­tion in the Funeral Home Re­cep­tion Cen­tre fol­low­ing the ser­vice. In­ter­ment will be held in Fair Haven Me­mo­rial Gar­dens. In me­mory of Alice, do­na­tions to the NB Heart & Stroke Foun­da­tion would be ap­pre­ci­ated.
