Alice A. MacEachern, 91, of The Briarlea and formerly of Winter Ave., Moncton, N.B., passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Born in Greenvale, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Barney and Verna (Ling) Wonnacott. Alice was an employee of Woolco and attended the former Wesley Memorial United Church. She enjoyed knitting, going on bus tours, attending concerts and playing a good game of cards. Alice will be sadly missed by her children, Allan MacEachern, Linda Smith (Chris), Ian MacEachern, Nancy MacEachern-Courteau (Pierre) and Carl MacEachern; seven grandchild­ren, nine great grandchild­ren and sister, Lillias Sly of Calgary, AB. In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by her husband, John Alfred MacEachern (1999); son, David and stepmother, Hazel (Boyle) Wonnacott. Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m., followed immediatel­y by a Service to celebrate and honour Alice’s life in Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In memory of Alice, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciate­d.
