Drug traf­fick­ing charges laid

A 46-year-old Sum­mer­side man, a 42-year-old St. Raphael man and a 36-year-old Kens­ing­ton have been ar­rested and are fac­ing drug traf­fick­ing charges.

The three were ar­rested Nov. 7 by the Prince Dis­trict Joint Forces Op­er­a­tions (JFO) Drug Unit, which is com­prised of RCMP and Sum­mer­side and Kens­ing­ton po­lice mem­bers.

In all, crys­tal metham­phetamine, metham­phetamine pills, hy­dro­mor­phone cap­sules and tablets, oxy­codone, cash and weapons were seized.

The Prince Dis­trict JFO Unit also ar­rested a 46-year-old Sum­mer­side woman on Nov. 7 after find­ing her with co­caine. She is cur­rently fac­ing traf­fick­ing charges.

The in­ves­ti­ga­tions into both cases are on­go­ing.
