While repairs continued to the Burgeo Highway over the weekend, residents of the community received a boost of supplies via ferry last Saturday.

The Terra Nova, which usually travels between Gaultois, McCallum and Hermitage, paid a visit to Burgeo and Grey River Saturday with supplies to restock the shelves at some local businesses.

The Marine Voyager, which covers the Francois-Grey River-Burgeo route, was expected to do the same Sunday. It was scheduled to make stops in Burgeo, Grey River, Ramea and Francois.

The Burgeo Highway was reopened to traffic Sunday evening, just under a week after the remnants of hurricane Matthew dumped at least 234 millimetres of rain on the area and washed out the road.
