Two major projects finish up on Route 480
Two major construction projects are finishing up on Route 480.
The bridge at Top Pond Brook opened both lanes to traffic the week before last while the new culvert at Wooden Tilt Brook opened to traffic late during the evening of Oct. 23.
Workers and machinery began removing the Bailey bridge on Oct. 24. The Bailey bridge has been in place at Wooden Tilt Brook since December 2014 when the culvert collapsed.
Emera’s Maritime Link Project is coming together visually for residents on the southwest coast. Construction zones have been set up on the Trans-Canada Highway and crews have been busy clearing land and now installing transmission towers.
