Bullying comes from the liberal left, too

The Gulf News (Port aux Basques) - - EDITORIAL -

I am writing to congratulate Finance Minister Cathy Bennett on her anti-bullying campaign regarding cyberbullying, etc. It is so easy now to use cyberspace to spew vicious hatred against a person or organization, practically anonymously.

As a politician and a person up to date on current affairs, I wonder how Bennett feels about the campaign by the group behind the “grab your wallet” campaign (https://grabyourwallet.org) listing stores that sell Ivanka Trump’s product line in an attempt to bully the stores into taking her products off their shelves.

As a politician, there will always be people who love you and people who hate you, but how would you feel if your child, who has nothing to do with your politics, was attacked simply because she was your child?

And to make matters worse, this vicious bullying is being done, not by the “deplorables,” as the Trump supporters have come to be known, but by the good, politically correct, nonracist liberal left! It is amazing how good the liberal left can be until they lose.

Can you imagine for one second the uproar on CNN and other liberal media outlets if Hillary Clinton’s daughter was maligned and bullied in this fashion?

Again, I congratulate Minister Bennett in her stance against bullying, and I hope she makes reference to the bullying tactics of the liberal left against a young lady who should be upheld as a role model for young women everywhere, not trashed because she happens to be the daughter of the elected president of the United States.
