Wind whips am­bu­lance off the road

The fierce winds rip­ping along the Wreck­house area of the Tran­sCanada High­way early Wed­nes­day, March 16 knocked an am­bu­lance off the road.

The am­bu­lance was not trans­port­ing a pa­tient at the time and there are no re­ports of in­jury ac­cord­ing to the RCMP in Port aux Basques.

Macken­zie Am­bu­lance ser­vices de­clined to com­ment on the in­ci­dent.

The 153 kilo­me­tre per hour winds also lev­eled a house in the Cape Anguille area of the Co­droy Val­ley.
