Pet Value Walk for Dog Guides

The Gulf News (Port aux Basques) - - NEWS -

The Pet Value Walk for Dog Guides will take place on Monday, Sept. 11 at the Bay Street Dog Park in Grand Bay. The walk will start at 7 p.m.

This is the fourth year for the Dog Walk and organizer Doreen Burton hopes to see a strong turnout for a great cause. She also advises that people out of town and unable to attend can still participate in their area.

“If you are at the trailer or cabin on that date, you can still do your walk in your area and submit your pledge money to me ASAP,” she said.

Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides’ mission is to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them with dog guides at no cost.

Anyone requiring a pledge sheet can stop by either of the post office buildings or contact

Doreen directly at 695-0570. Donations can also be made online at www.walkfordogguides.com.
