St. James Army Cadets

Cadets are about to start up again. St. James Army Cadets is open to any young adult from age 12 up to and and in­clud­ing un­der 19. We’re ex­cited to wel­come new cadets on Wed­nes­day Sept. 6 at St. James High School at 6:30 p.m.

Did you know that the Army Cadets is a free ac­tiv­ity for your child to be in­volved with? Costs are cov­ered for cadets, their uni­form is free, ac­tiv­i­ties are free, ad­ven­tures are free and all travel is free with the cadets.

The Rec House Youth Cen­tre

As a drop in cen­tre, youth from 12-18 can come by Mon­day to Thurs­day till 9 p.m., Fri­day till 10 p.m., and Satur­day 3-10 p.m. There are darts, ping pong, air hockey, Wii games, X box games, Net­flix, board games and arts and crafts avail­able. We do have spe­cial events on our sched­ule and do plan spe­cific ac­tiv­i­ties for staff to in­volve the youth in. For more in­for­ma­tion, call 695-6901.

An in­for­ma­tion ses­sion is avail­able to New­found­land and Labrador res­i­dents.
