Port aux Basques’ CNA stu­dent wins sil­ver at Skills Canada nationals

Melissa Bat­tiste’s cab­i­net­mak­ing artistry was rec­og­nized with a sil­ver medal dur­ing the 24th an­nual Skills Canada Na­tional Com­pe­ti­tion this month.

Bat­tiste is a stu­dent at Col­lege of the North At­lantic’s (CNA) Port aux Basques cam­pus.

The com­pe­ti­tion, held in Ed­mon­ton, Alta. from June 3-6, saw over 550 com­peti­tors from across the coun­try com­pete in the more than 40 com­pe­ti­tion ar­eas.

Twenty of the 46 Team New­found­land and Labrador com­peti­tors were from CNA.

Kea­gan Dal­ley and Hayley Martin – Gold Medal – 3D Com­puter An­i­ma­tion (Se­condary - Holy Spirit High School and Car­bon­ear Col­le­giate)
