Cham­ber rec­og­nizes busi­ness achieve­ment

Small Busi­ness Week was held Oct. 14-19.

The week con­sisted of break­fast and lunch ses­sions, a few open houses, bar­beque and a cof­fee break win­ner each day.

The Port aux Basques and Area Cham­ber of Com­merce held the Gala Award Din­ner on Oct. 24.

There were five awards pre­sented this year:

Not for Profit Or­ga­ni­za­tion Award – Grow­ing our Fu­tures Child­care Co-op

0-3 Years Busi­ness Achieve­ment Award – Ma­rine Ex­cur­sions Inc.

3-5 Years Busi­ness Achieve­ment Award – M & D Bar­gain Cen­ter

5-15 Years Busi­ness Achieve­ment Award – Ada Short’s Pay­roll Ser­vices

15+ Life­time Achieve­ment Award – Hum­ber Mo­tors Ford
