The Spectators first Readers Choice awards were handed out in 1992 and back then readers had to fill out their ballot from a printed copy in the paper. Time has changed how the voting is done with the era of computers taking over. One thing that hasn’t changed is Crystal Clean Ser vices being voted year after year as one of the best companies in the carpet cleaning field. In the recent awards celebration, the Spectator has added Duct Cleaning as a new field and Crystal Clean has been named in the top of that field as well. Mike Timmers says “We’re proud of our awards and we will strive to continue providing nothing but top quality ser vice in both the carpet cleaning and the duct cleaning fields”.

The company services thousands of homes, as well as many businesses each year throughout the Greater Hamilton and surrounding areas. Crystal Clean Ser vices, a family run business, was established in 1986 and has always prided itself on high quality work and excellent ser vice. This ser vice has helped us to be recognized once again as the “Readers Choice Awards” best carpet and furniture cleaning company in the greater Hamilton Wentworth area. That’s an achievement they are quite proud of.

Crystal clean Ser vices uses the Dry Foam Shampoo cleaning method. Dry foam shampoo is not an oil based shampoo. It starts off as a powder and when a small amount of water is added to it, it then becomes a liquid. The reason a water based shampoo is used, is so that it won’t leave any oily sticky residue, which may cause a quicker re-soiling. With dry foam shampoo carpet cleaning, your carpets are gently scrubbed with the dry foam and then extracted. We use a 110 pound industrial shampooer with a 15 inch scrub brush attachment to scrub the areas. This method allows the cleaning to get deep down into the fibers to loosen the embedded soil which is then absorbed by the foam. Heavy traffic areas and stains are given special attention and pretreated prior to scrubbing. The turbo-vac extractor is then used to finish the job by removing all the loosened soil and moisture. The average drying time is between 4 to 12 hours.

Why Choose a Professional Carpet Cleaner? Regular vacuuming and removing your shoes does help keep your carpets looking better longer, but eventually you do have to get them cleaned. Renting a machine is always available as an option but isn’t as advantageous as once thought. By the time you rent the unit, buy the spot lifter and some shampoo, you’ll have spent $50 dollars or more and you have to do all of the work yourself. By calling Crystal Clean to your home you’ll get great ser vice and a fair price. They send two qualified technicians to your home who will move most furniture, clean the areas and replace the furniture using protective pads.

Perhaps the best reason to have your furnace and duct work professionally cleaned is because it’s simply logical that over time the dust and debris will get lodged in your ducts and you can’t just vacuum it out. At Crystal Clean Ser vices, their duct cleaning technicians come to your home with a state of the art truck that has the ability to suck 15,000 cubic feet of air every minute. This powerfull suction combined with over 200 pounds of air pressure pushes the soil down the vents and out to their truck, releasing no dust into your home.
