196 km/h on QEW: Speed­ers caught ‘stunt driv­ing’ on Hamil­ton high­ways

Pro­vin­cial po­lice charged two men with “stunt driv­ing” for ex­treme speed­ing on Hamil­ton-area high­ways this week.

On­tario Pro­vin­cial Po­lice stopped a west­bound ve­hi­cle Sun­day af­ter­noon that was trav­el­ling 155 km/h on High­way 403 near Copetown. An 18-year-old Brant­ford man was charged.

Early Mon­day morn­ing po­lice stopped and charged a 32-year-old Hamil­ton man driv­ing 196 km/h on the Queen El­iz­a­beth Way near the Burling­ton sky­way.

Both men had their ve­hi­cles seized and li­cences im­me­di­ately sus­pended for seven days.
