Got your backer but­ton yet? The an­nual Hamil­ton Fringe Fes­ti­val con­tin­ues daily un­til July 24 with more than 40 com­pa­nies of­fer­ing mu­si­cals, phys­i­cal theatre, dance, come­dies, drama, sci­ence fic­tion and sketch com­edy at 11 down­town venues. Tick­ets are no more than $10 per show, avail­able at the door one hour be­fore show­time. You must also buy a $5 fringe backer but­ton to ac­cess the fes­ti­val. The Shrine Cir­cus is in town, Spec­tac! 2016 is at the An­caster Fair­grounds, 630 Trin­ity Rd. S., this week­end. Show times are Fri­day noon, 4 and 7:30 p.m.; Satur­day noon, 4, and 7:30 p.m.; and Sun­day at 1 and 5 p.m. Tick­ets are $30 for gen­eral ad­mis­sion. Shrinecir­cus.com

Worlds of mu­sic

The Hamil­ton World Mu­sic Fes­ti­val brings the world to Hamil­ton this week­end. Cel­e­brate our mul­ti­cul­tural com­mu­nity with food and craft ven­dors, live mu­sic on two stages from noon to 11 p.m. Fri­day, Satur­day and Sun­day at Gage Park. Ad­mis­sion is free.

Roll don’t stroll

Fri­day Nights Rolling in the Park and Smooth Satur­days, fea­ture roller skat­ing to a DJ at the Wa­ter­front Out­door Rink — Pier 8, 47 Dis­cov­ery Dr., Fri­days and Satur­days from 7 to 11 p.m., through­out the sum­mer. Roller skate rentals are avail­able for $6.50 with gov­ern­ment ID with sizes from tod­dler to adult. Rental hours are noon to 11 p.m. on Fri­day and Satur­day and from noon to 8 p.m. Sun­day to Thurs­day.

Fu­tures and fortunes

The Psy­chic and Well­ness Fair at Er­land Lee Mu­seum Satur­day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., prom­ises so many ven­dors, demon­stra­tions, readers and more that they will be sit­u­ated in­doors and out. Come out and treat your body, mind and spirit. Ad­mis­sion is a non-per­ish­able food item for the food bank. Er­land Lee Mu­seum is lo­cated at 552 Ridge Road, Stoney Creek.

Honda Indy Toronto

Head­ing down the QEW? Make note there are clo­sures along Lake Shore Boule­vard from Stra­chan Av­enue to On­tario Street, July 15 to 17 for the Honda Indy Toronto. Through­out the Honda Indy, up to two chil­dren 12 and un­der will re­ceive free fare on the GO train or bus when ac­com­pa­nied by at least one pay­ing adult with a des­ti­na­tion of Ex­hi­bi­tion Sta­tion and a Honda Indy ad­mis­sion ticket.

Safe to swim?

Con­fed­er­a­tion Park Beach, Valens Con­ser­va­tion Area Beach and Van Wag­ner’s Beach are closed as tested July 11 and 12. Bayfront Beach is closed for the 2016 swim­ming sea­son due to a his­tory of high lev­els of bac­te­ria and/or tox­ins. In Hal­ton, Prospect Park Old Beach and Bronte Beach Park are closed as tested July 7.
