Man caught plant­ing mar­i­juana in farmer’s field

HAGERSVILLE — On Wed­nes­day, at 1:20 p.m., OPP of­fi­cers on ATVs came across a ve­hi­cle parked in the mid­dle the road in the area of Sec­ond Line, Hagersville. They found the owner in a corn field af­ter hav­ing planted about 14 sus­pected mar­i­juana plants.

The Haldimand County man, 48, has been charged with pro­duc­tion of mar­i­juana.
