Shoplifter comes back with resume
An alleged shoplifter pushed his luck Tuesday when he applied for a job at a Colborne Street business.
A man was seen in video taking a cordless drill from the store but did not try to pay for it before leaving. Later that day, the man returned to the store with a resume to apply for a job.
An employee recognized the man and contacted the Brantford Police Service. Officers tracked him down using information found on the resume.
A 28-year-old Brantford man was issued a trespass order from the store and is not to return there again. He also has to attend a precharge diversion program at St. Leonard’s Community Services for theft.
