Man wielding golf club at Brantford hospital arrested
A 37-year-old Brantford man faces numerous charges after losing his cool at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday.
After becoming “disgruntled,” Brantford police said the man smashed a window with a steel chair. He picked up pieces of glass and threatened to harm staff members before fleeing the hospital.
Outside he got his hands on a golf club, threatened a couple and demanded they give him a ride, but they ignored him and drove away, according to police.
Officers discovered the suspect nearby and charged him with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and mischief over $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing.
