Vol­un­teers score at Sport Vol­un­teer event

One out of ev­ery four adults and one out of two chil­dren ac­tively par­tic­i­pate in sport. Sport can make us health­ier, strengthen our com­mu­nity by build­ing trust and in­clu­sion, and sup­port a positive life course for chil­dren by teach­ing them life skills and equip them for the future.

The City of Hamil­ton, in part­ner­ship with Sport Hamil­ton, is proud to be host­ing the 30th An­nual Sport Vol­un­teer Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Ban­quet on Septem­ber 22, 2016. This an­nual event presents award recog­ni­tions to ad­min­is­tra­tors, coaches, of­fi­cials, youth, con­trib­u­tors and or­ga­ni­za­tions that “make a world of dif­fer­ence” in our com­mu­nity. It show­cases the remarkable com­mit­ment and ded­i­ca­tion of hours that Hamil­ton ci­ti­zens in­vest in the com­mu­nity to pro­vide positive sport ex­pe­ri­ences for all. Nom­i­na­tions are ac­cepted yearly and can be sub­mit­ted for the 2017 event at any time to www.hamil­ton.ca/ city-awards. Is your or­ga­ni­za­tion rep­re­sented? You are in­vited to se­lect wor­thy in­di­vid­u­als to join in this spe­cial night.
