Fundraising for Barton Street store opening

-

A local clothing company and soap producer want to help revitalize Hamilton’s Barton Street corridor starting with their own brick-andmortar store. To get there, they’re asking for a bit of help. Vagabond Saints and Steel City Reflections, which currently operate only online, are hosting a fundraiser to help cover the cost of expanding the business into a storefront and incorporating more local artisans’ products.

Club Absinthe, 38 King William St., is hosting the event on Saturday, Aug. 6 starting at 8 p.m. The event features local arts vendors and live entertainment. MC for the night is television host Kevin Brauch (Iron Chef America, The Thirsty Traveller). Entertainment includes comedian Clifford Myers, punk band Bourbon DK, garage-rock band The Retroaction and headliner Amigo The Devil. Tickets are $15 in advance at vagabondsaints.com or $20 at the door.

Vagabond Saints’ apparel line includes screen-printed T-shirts, hoodies and tote bags and a collection of quirky and dark prayer candles. Steel City Reflections produces soaps, body creams and nail polish.
